Critical Conversations on Water Innovation and Strategy at ACE25

WestWater Research joined more than 10,000 water professionals in Denver, Colorado for the American Water Works Association’s 2025 Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE25), held June 9-12. As one of the largest gatherings in the water sector, ACE25 convened engineers, utility managers, public officials, and nonprofit leaders to exchange ideas and explore cutting-edge technologies and policy solutions shaping the future of water in the United States. The conference featured a wide range of sessions focused on infrastructure investment, water quality and treatment innovations, and utility management. Attendees also examined evolving regulatory challenges and opportunities presented by today’s complex water and legislative landscapes.

WestWater’s Rocky Mountain Regional Director, Adam Jokerst, and Senior Associate, Kelsey Dudziak, participated in the event to engage with peers and gain valuable insights into the pressing issues faced by utilities and water managers.

Highlights from the conference included discussions on optimizing water supply for data centers, leveraging public financing for watershed health, and advancing conservation planning across the Colorado River Basin. Notable contributions came from leaders at Denver Water, the San Diego County Water Authority, and the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona – each offering perspective on collaborative water solutions in the western United States.
