WestWater Welcomes Justin Bowen as Waterlitix™ Associate

WestWater Research is pleased to announce Justin Bowen has joined the team as a Waterlitix™ Associate. Based in Fort Collins, Justin manages the Waterlitix™ platform and database and delivers research and analysis on water markets, water-right valuation, and regional water supply across the Western United States.

“Justin’s expertise in hydrologic modeling, machine learning, GIS, and data visualization strengthens our Waterlitix™ platform and the insights we deliver to clients,” said Chris Smith, COO of WestWater Research. “His technical skills and field experience make him a valuable addition to our team.”

“I am excited to join the team at WestWater Research. During my PhD, I focused on modeling the economic and environmental tradeoffs of water conservation strategies, including water markets. I now look forward to moving beyond the modeling work to actively contribute to facilitating these processes. I am grateful to be part of a company that values rigorous research and data-driven decision making,” said Justin.

Justin completed his Ph.D. in Hydrologic Sciences at the University of Wyoming, where his research focused on water supply and demand modeling and decision support systems in irrigated headwater watersheds. He built web-based tools to help local agencies evaluate strategies for scarcity and competing uses. He also holds a B.S. in Geology from Northern Arizona University.
