Jack Carpenter is an Associate at WestWater in the Fort Collins, Colorado office. Jack joined WestWater originally in 2023 after completing a Master’s in Environmental Management with a specialization in water resources management from Duke University. After a brief stint back in North Carolina in 2026, he rejoined the WestWater team.
Jack brings experience in economics and natural resource management, working with both public and private sector clients to further their aims and goals in the water sector. His work at Westwater in the public sector has included assessments of value for nonprofit acquisitions of water rights, municipal water supply assessment and planning, and support for strategic water right acquisition efforts. Jack’s work with private sector clients has included strategic support for water development projects, asset management planning and advisory services, and transaction advisory for family offices, real estate development, extractive industries, and private capital.
In addition to his master’s degree, Jack holds a B.S. in Marine Biology from UC San Diego and is deeply interested in sustainable management of rivers, streams, and oceans for the benefit of people and the planet. He spends his time away from work hiking, biking, or skiing in Colorado’s mountains. He is typically joined in the office and elsewhere by his dog, Teddy.
