Colton Richard is an Associate at WestWater Research and is based in Fort Collins, Colorado. He has spent his career working in both the public and private sector, including various roles within the water industry.
He first joined WestWater in 2019 working as a Summer Associate during his graduate studies. After receiving his M.B.A. from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, Colton spent six years as a financial consultant for municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater service providers. During this time, he focused on applying his knowledge of water resources during the development of sustainable financial strategies, cost-of-service analyses, water resource fees, and conservation-based water rates for municipal clients located throughout the Western United States.
Colton has a strong passion for the environment and enjoys spending his time participating in outdoor activities including fishing, camping, and gardening. He also appreciates the opportunity to volunteer his time to help cleanup local watersheds.
